Mishkins

After what feels like a life time of Jubilee fever and with it an everlasting supply of cucumber sandwiches, prawn cocktail and victoria sponge, we fell with a thud from the British bandwagon and couldn't think of anything more appealing than a big bowl of mac 'n' cheese.
After our to-die-for, gratifyingly good meal at Spuntino we decided to follow our noses to Covent Garden and try sister hot spot Mishkins. Styled as a vintage New York diner with checkered black and white tiles, formica tabletops and big red booths, our mouths began to water before we'd even looked at the menu.
We sat in the restaurants teeny private dining room - a reconstructed BBC soundbooth complete with on-air switch that lights up when you need service.
Which may or may not have been used each time we polished off another dish...
