Bar Boulud

I'm a VERY proud big sissy after cheering my way through the Oscar worthy debut of my way more talented strawberry sibling, in the achingly cool East London theatre production - 'You Me Bum Bum Train'.
A performance so secret, the cast have to sign non-disclosure agreements and the audience have no idea what they're letting themselves in for.
Which is actually quite a lot.
As the sole audience member, you participate in a series of once in a lifetime situations and quite literally become - 'the star of the show'.
Our lips are sealed!

We hopped over to Bar Boulud to toast the incredible likelihood of a Beth shaped handprint on the Hollywood walk of fame. After all, how else could a self respecting Strawberry Sister celebrate than with a deliciously juicy burger, bigger than our head?

Vacation V's Staycation - Olsen style

Perhaps we should start by saying that we LOVE Mary-Kate and Ashley.
We grew up wanting to be them, religiously watching Two of a Kind and collecting possibly every piece of memorabilia ever produced - anyone for a game of Olsen crazy golf? We even begged our parents to take us to Atlantis after it featured in one of our favourite of the twins films, 'Holiday in the Sun'.
So when we saw their collection for Stylist Pick, at a fraction of their usual Haute Couture prices, we'd clicked and bought before we'd even had the chance to blink.

In an ode to the crazy English weather of late we've teamed our newly beloved with a jumper for a versatile sun/hailstone combination and a handmade bikini top for a holiday inspired look...

Courtyard at 51

In true British style, after discussing the weather in depth, we decided that we couldn't possibly step foot inside whilst London basked in dazzling sunshine!
We stumbled across the most perrrfect courtyard by Buckingham Palace, which transported us straight to Rome with its flowing fountains and tranquil atmosphere.
We feasted on sizzling fajitas and drank 'Piscines' - champagne with ice cubes à la French Riveria.
A paradise in the heart of the City...

Margaret Dabbs

Margaret Dabbs is widely regarded as the Queen of Pedicures, celebrated by professionals and celebrities alike, if she can't sort out your tootsies, no one can.
We visited her Marylebone village salon for a pre-holiday pamper, in the hope that our poor neglected feet would walk out baby-soft and sparkly.
These pedicures aren't just the usual five minute buff, file and a slather of moisturiser - every last inch of hard skin is blitz and sanded by the white-coated podiatrists.
The medical procedure focuses as much on foot and nail health as it does the aesthetic appearance - problem areas can be identified and treated in house with advice given to ensure feet stay in tip-top condition.

A variety of buzzing and drilling sounds from a whole host of tools, while at first nerve-wracking, are completely painless - if a little tickly...

Once the podiarist has worked their magic, you can then opt for a more traditional massage and colour - with varnishes from our favourite brand Rococo.
We can't stop looking down at our freshly preened pretties and wiggling our toes at passers by!
Ms Dabbs also has a spa at Liberty and Harrods...
Shopping AND pampering
YAY!

Peggy Porschen

If the pastel pink exterior didn't lure us in to Peggy Porschen, the smell of freshly baked cupcakes certainly did.
Billed as London's prettiest tea parlour, bedecked in the frilliest of confectionery and nestled amongst the townhouses of Belgravia, we couldn't think of a better spot to spend a lazy afternoon in the London sun.
This summer, Peggy Porschen has teamed up with Laurent-Perrier Cuvée Rosé to accentuate their pretty in pink theme. We scoffed sumptuous strawberry and champagne cupcakes with an extra helping of Chocolate Heaven.
If you can't bear to leave, the academy offers boutique baking classes so you can rustle up your own at home.
Everything we could ever dream of and more...
even the receipts are pink!

Bray - The Hinds Head

We couldn't leave Bray without a visit to Heston's second restaurant, The Hinds Head.
The more relaxed little brother of The Fat Duck, with the ambience of a local village pub, situated within a picturesque 15th-century building.
Portraits pay homage to famous visitors including Walt Disney and Queen Elizabeth II.
It is also rumoured that Prince Phillip held his stag night at The Hinds Head before his marriage to the Queen in 1947.
Heston has focused the menu around historic British dishes and the scotch eggs are stuff dreams are made of. As featured on 'How To Cook Like Heston' the yolk centres are still runny and like nothing I've tasted before. I won't be able to look a Tesco's scotch egg the same way ever again...

The cocktail menu was on par with the food and seriously impressive...
