Budapest Diaries Part 2 - City Park Zoo

Budapest Zoo and Botantical Garden, founded in 1866, is one of the oldest and prettiest zoos in the world.
The cleverly designed enclosures mean that you can get up close to the animals - without a single cage in sight. The domed elephant house, constructed with zsolany tiles and depicting mosaic patterns of the worlds most wonderful animal themselves, is enough to keep even the most discerning of nellies away from the estate agents!
We spent a blissful morning strolling through the gardens making friends with polar bears and hippos alike, with the odd ice cream thrown in for good measure...
Zoo-tastic!
