Floral Sunglasses

It's officially summer, right? Or as we prefer to call it in Strawberry land, the season of the SUN...
sunSHINE, sunTAN, sunGLASSES, sun.. er.. ice cream?
You may have noticed we're having a slighly unhealthy love affair with sunnies of late. Big ones, round ones, pink ones, elephant ones, but flowery ones?  Hold the phone! Our new fancy pants sunglasses holder appeared to be lacking in the floral department, so we thought why not try a little DIY!

You Will Need:
Sunglasses
Fabric/Ceramic Flowers (about half an inch in size)
Super Glue

Take your first flower, which we carefully selected out of the various shades of pink available (well it is our favourite colour, in case you hadn't realised!) We chose to use fabric flowers but you could also use clay or resin flowers if you're feeling exceptionally crafty!

sun5

Turn over the first flower and squeeze a bobble of your glue onto the centre.

sun6

Carefully place the newly-glued flower onto your desired location. We started at the corner because we're organised like that. BOOM.

sun7

Rinse and repeat. Oh hang on that's shampoo isn't it...

sun8

Then place the next flower, preferably next to the first one. Or not. Let your creativity fly.

sun9

Keep up the good work and soon enough the sunglasses will be all flowered up!

Don't forget to add a cheeky finishing touch to the nose bridge!

Leave them to dry for at least an hour or you'll end up with a very flowery face!

Now all we need is for Mr Sunshine to stick around for a little while longer!

Sunglasses on a Canvas: DIY

The sun has FINALLY decided to show itself, so it's time to dust off those jelly shoes, swap those coats for cardigans and, most importantly, dig out your sunglasses from the deep, dark depths of your drawers. I wish my sunglasses were in a convenient and easy-to-locate location, you think, as your arm gets stuck attempting to grasp that cheeky pair that's only gone and fallen right down the back. So if, like us, you have way too many sunglasses to know what to do with, along with the tendency to 'misplace' them, follow this strawberry-approved DIY that's both practical and pretty!

You Will Need:
Canvas print
Scissors
Pencil
Your sunglasses! (duh!)
Optional: Cushion

The first task involves turning the canvas over. We know guys, we know, what a difficult first step! We hope you're keeping up!

6

Next, place your sunnies in the desired position and feel free to be as creatively crazy as you want. We went for the classic 'Oh, look! All my sunglasses are in a line' look.

7

8

After this you're going to need to take your pencil and draw a small line by the start of each arm to mark the position.

9

11

12

Grab a comfy cushion (preferably one covered in strawberries!) and place this under your canvas.

13

Carefully open the scissors and pierce a hole through each of your markings. (Side Note: No running with scissors!)

14

15

Once this has been done through all of the markings, turn the canvas back over and repeat so that all the holes are the suitable size.

16

18

19

You can now start placing your sunglasses through the holes!

22

23

And voila! Your masterpiece is finished and ready to hang!

Grab and go!

Now where did we put our keys...

Draw Our Lives

Have you ever wanted to know a little bit more about your favourite strawberries? (possibly second favourite, behind strawberry cheesecake?) Well, you're in luck because we just so happen to have created this handy little video (that you may have seen floating around YouTube recently) where I draw my life... NO! Where I draw MY life!

Fairy Tale Theme Park Fashion

It's a far too familiar scenario.. wake up, (after snoozing at least 5 timeseat breakfast, (preferably a dippy egg but we won't say no to a chocolate muffin) brush our teeth, (with a Justin Beiber toothbrush, obvs) fix our hair, put on our makeup then walk to our wardrobe and... stare. And stare. And stare a little more. Then open. Then close. Then open again, this time a little more slowly, hoping and wishing that SOMETHING 'just perfect' has magically appeared - before inevitably uttering those five words that we've all screamed whilst drowning in a mass of clothes*
*see technical term 'floordrobe'... 'I'VE GOT NOTHING TO WEAR!!!'
Some outfits take more planning than others and until your fairy godmother shows up with an American Express Black card stuck to the end of her wand and the ability to turn a pair of crocs into a pair of loubies, WE'RE here to help!

One of our favourite seasons is finally upon us! Yep, you got it! Theme Park season! (that's spring to you non-strawberries out there) and we've been thinking long and hard about what to wear. Practicality and comfort is key - hey, we don't want to be held responsible for any sort of public indecency! But a strawberry has also always got to look good, and what could be better than four looks inspired by the most magical fairy tale creatures of them all!
Tinkerbell, we hoped you've booked your 2-4-1!

The Parlour at Fortnum and Mason

Going out specifically for dessert unfortunately really isn't a 'thing' here in the UK. Which is surprising seeing as we're a nation of chocolate lovers with exceptionally sweet teeth. Generally, we tend to squeeze in the odd 'too-polite-to-resist-despite-already-being-stuffed-on-a-starter-and-main course' cheesecake, or stock up on sugary treats at the supermarket and devour them from the comfort of our own homes.
Across the pond however, it's completely normal to head out for ice-cream, spend the afternoon at a milkshake bar or make a family trip to a cupcake cafe. When we're hankering for Max Brenner's Chocolate shop or a pick-me-up from Cold Stone Creamery, we head to the only place we know will hit the spot.
The Parlour at Fortnum and Mason.

With a menu of lip-lickingly-good sundaes, cocktail floats (a combination of COCKTAILS with ICE CREAM... woah hold them horses, this is all too overwhelming!) 'Ice Cream Flights' - and of course, traditional afternoon tea, we'd happily pass up a main meal and head straight here!
I scream, you scream, we all scream for... ICE CREAM!!
