if there's one film that makes us feel all gooey inside it's
charlie and the chocolate factory
but let's be honest though
if food features heavily within a film - it's going to be on our favs list
the day has finally come for us to go and see the new musical
so what better way to begin the day
than with a food celebration
the super cute menus at one aldwych show each of the special golden ticket winners
hashtag jealous
can we have our food now...
pretty please :)
while the sophisticated decor doesn't exactly scream chocolate factory
the food and drink will CERTAINLY transport you there
the modern take on Wonka's creations
seem like something right out of Heston's magical mind
there's even a liquid nitrogen cocktail.
like WOW
as you can tell Beth is pretty excited about it
then came the sandwiches
beautifully presented and just as beautifully tasting
now you can't have afternoon tea without the tea.
or it would just be called afternoon.
and wouldn't that be silly!
we went for jewelled apple and smooth caramel -
both equally sweet and delicious
a nice quick refresh before the feast continues
'omg it tastes just like caramel' - Beth on her caramel tea
just so classy babes
oh bloggers and their lipstick marks
the chocolate factory theme truly begins with the sweets
a seriously sugarly blend of chocolatey shakes, candy floss, eton mess, cheesecake eggs...
and our personal favourite:
a luscious lemony cake pop
YUM
topped with crackling popping candy.
DOUBLE YUM
obvs there's no other way to finish than with a perf crumbly scone
(now that's scone with an oh, not scone with an on)
Mr. Wonka, we salute you.
and your food.
