Raw Brownies

if you haven't already gathered
FOOD = happy strawberries
and we've recently become a tad obsessed with fellow blogging babe
she makes the most gorg recipes which keep your insides just as gorg
the one that caught our attention first was her signature brownies
now these aren't any ordinary brownies
oh no
they're yummy
they're scrummy
AND they're healthy
and we've already made them four times this week...

you just need to have these four ingredients handy:
dates
pecans
cacao powder
maple syrup

1

measure out one cup of pecans
and blend them up until they're itsy bitsy teeny weeny
(we milled them in our nutribullet, but a food processor would work just as well)

2

then take two cups of dates
and blend them as you did with yo nutty nuts

3

mix the two together and what have you got?
A HALF READY BROWNIE

5

so next take three (very generous) spoonfuls of natural chocolatey goodness

4

and add to your delish concoction

6

along with two gloopy spoonfuls of maple syrup

7

then mix it all up
babbbbyyyyy babbyyyy babbbyyyy oh

8

spoon your super brownie looking mixture
into some sorta tray/dish/plate/whateva you fancy

9

then exercise super restraint and place them in the freezer for one hour

10

after counting down the previous 60 minutes your raw brownies are ready!

11

we suggest cutting into cute bite-size squares

13

and taking a second to admire your handy work

12

but only for a quick second
because these badboys won't be around for long x
(ps they keep in the fridge for a few days - that is if they're around for that long)

Going Loco with Domino's

You can take the pizza from the girl,
but you can't take the girl from the pizza.
Despite our recent health kick we will always go weak at the knees for a piping hot box of the yummy stuff...
so melt the mozzarella and pass the pepperoni to these two strawberries!
Two for Tuesdays you say?
Two new pizza flavours?
Oh Dominos, you shouldn't have!
We couldn't contain our excitement when an invite from our favourite pizza chain dropped into our inbox...
did they know we had them on speed dial?
did they know we started dribbling every time they text us a deal about 2 Medium Pizzas and 2 Sumptuous Sides for only £19.99?
NO!
but they do know that WE LOVE PIZZA!

three-ish ingredient cookies

three ingredient cookies are totes all over instagram
so here at strawberry HQ we thought we'd give them a whirl
they're basically oats, vanilla and banana.
but being the sweet-tooth strawbs that we are
three ingredients just isn't enough.
oh no.
we need some choccy in there too.
and some coconut for good measure.

2

start by taking two bananas and mashing them

3

(preferably inside a mixing bowl)

4

then measure out a cup of some oats

5

and chuck them in over the mash

6

we recommend two big ole spoonfuls of your chosen chocolate goodies

7

and a whopping 3-4 tablespoons of coconut
[hint: we like coconut]

8

to keep the mixture super sweet and gooey:
add in a tablespoon of vanilla extract and two big squeezes of agave nectar

9

then mix that mixture up
REAL GOOOOOOOD

10

spoon the mixed mixture into cupcake moulds
and bake for about 15 mins

11

allow your goodies to cool
(if you can resist)

12

then plop them into a bowl for sharing

13

whoops.
did we say sharing?

14

we meant eat them all yourself.
because you're worth it. x
