Acai Bowl Recipe

when we need a mid week pick-me-up
there's only one thing that is both
1. easy enough for our lazy selves
AND 
2. tasty enough to satisfy even the biggest foodie cravings
enter: the acai smoothie bowl

only four things you need for this one:
1/4 cup almond milk
1 banana
1 cup strawbs
2 acai juice pads (we nabs ours at whole foods)

if y'all didn't know the acai berry is just so hot right now

spiritually not physically

they're from Brazil
(you know that country where they're playing some sport or something at the mo)

and it's also the hippest superberry in town

BACK TO THE RECIPE

so all you do is chop up the banana

and then add all the ingredients into your blender-y device
and blend

but first let me take a selfie

we were feeling in a particularly chocolatey mood

so added in a handful of cacao nibs after the initial blend

and then blended again

you're after a pretty thick and goopy consistency

if it's too thin try adding in some more banana

now with an acai bowl the presentation is almost as important as the taste

we topped ours with strawbs, bananas, muesli and raisins
